I Love To Read x Internet Pedagogy = Blog about Book Reports

2012 is the year I have finally decided to go back to University to work on my Post Bach for Education. Why? Long story, but in a nut shell, I was in Palm Springs last year for a Technology Conference. I was in heaven all week. I have since discovered that these brief conferences that I attended are offered as courses at the U of M.
My first course, 5840 Interenet Pedagogy is on Monday nights. My first assignment is to create an Online Portfolio, so I started a Blog. It needs to consist of 10-15 capsule summaries and examples of selected internet ideas, concepts and tools for the teaching of my subject area. I am a teacher librarian. With February and I Love To Read / Write around the corner, I have decided to create a blog on "Free, Fun and Easy ways to do a Book Report"
Blogging is relatively new to me. I know what it is and have dabbled in it, but another assignment for this course (5840) is to learn a new piece of software. I have spent at least 10 hours today creating 5 posts. As frustrated as I was today, I know that this learning curve in blogging is going to benefit me immensly in my teaching profession.
